How long does a run last

All our sessions are approximately 20-30minutes. Sessions may be shorter if dogs are not conditioned enough to do a full session or have medical/physical conditions that limit their ability to exercise.

How often should I schedule my dog to run?

We offer weekly, bi-weekly, and on-demand scheduling. 

What to expect before my dog running appointment?

If you have a favorite harness for them to use, they can use it. If not, we have some that they can use for their safety and comfort during their run.Please make sure that any feedings are handled at least 2 hours before their session to prevent full bowels or a full stomach of food; that would be uncomfortable for anyone. Once we arrive, please bring your dog(s) out to the mobile dog gym or let us know if you’ll need help at the door, we are happy to accommodate!

What to expect during my dog running appointment?

We closely supervise their movements and encourage them to “work” (walk, trot, or run, whatever their speed) throughout the whole session, stopping for breaks and water as needed. A huge benefit with the equipment is that there is NO MOTOR, so your dog does all the work, and NOTHING is forced. We are there to ensure a safe session and a fun session with positive reinforcement via cheering, clapping, squeaky toys, and overall love and affection.

What to expect after my dog running appointment?

Your dog may be sprawled out on the cool floor and pant for some time after their session.  They just had a good workout! Wait until their heart rate slows before feeding. Some dogs get a burst of energy after their session, that’s normal, too. 

How long does it take to learn to run on the treadmills?

Generally, the learning curve is about 5 minutes for us to train them how to balance and propel themselves on our equipment.  After that, the more they do it, the better they get as their confidence in themselves and the equipment grows. All sessions are closely supervised for best safety.  Since there are NO MOTORS, the dogs run and move at their own speed, so when they speed up and slow down on their own, the treadmill speeds up and slows down. We monitor their movements and take our time to ensure a safe and positive experience.  Please let us know any “quirks” or special needs your dog may have so we can best customize training to their needs.
